Where it is weaker

Recorded with the same care as the capabilities, and not softened. A comparison that only lists strengths is not a comparison.

  • Records are stored locally in the browser. No cloud, no server-side persistence, no multi-user sync.
  • Accepts no file uploads of any kind. No document storage, no attachments.
  • Cannot be reliably used on phones or tablets.
  • Vendor warns that Safari deletes site data after 7 days of inactivity and recommends Chrome.
  • Performs no verification or screening itself. Refers users to NameScan and records only the provider, date, result and reference ID.
  • Users must submit SMRs to AUSTRAC manually.

Where this came from

Structurally different from every other product in this directory: a compliance register, not a platform. It records what happened, when, who reviewed it and what was decided. It performs no verification, stores no documents, and runs entirely in the user's browser.

Free during beta, and the vendor is unusually forthcoming about the constraints: every limitation listed above is self-disclosed on their own site.

Material for a firm with a 7-year record-keeping obligation: browser storage is not durable, not backed up centrally, and not multi-user. The vendor itself flags the Safari data-deletion risk. That is a structural consideration a buyer should weigh, not a criticism of a free beta tool that is honest about what it is.
